What’s the difference between the Portrait Station and a Photo Booth?
Our signature service is the photographer-led Portrait Station. It shares similarities to a photo booth, but has some key differences. We are a fully equipped professional photo studio with real-time retouching and printing at your event. Professional lights, white backdrop, a professional portrait photographer, and a lightning-speed retoucher are all on site to operate this hyper-personalized, private photo session. While this service is perfect for those who value a personalized touch, if you're looking for something more casual and self-directed, our open-air photo booth might be a better fit for your event.
What area do you serve?
Our home base is in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and we serve Michigan and the greater Midwest. Outside of Michigan, incur a travel fee. Please inquire for details. We are travel-ready for work outside Michigan and love working in Chicago, Indianapolis, and New York City.
Outside of a 100-mile radius of Grand Rapids incurs a travel fee.
When is the best time to start the session?
That depends on the event. For weddings, just after the last speech, when the dancefloor is about to open, is an ideal time for us to begin. Otherwise, during cocktail hour is also a viable option, depending on your guest count. We’ll help you determine the best time for us to start the session.
Can you print extra copies for me as well?
Because of time constraints, we can only produce one set of prints, which are prioritized for your guests during service. As a keepsake for yourself, we offer a guest book which includes all of the portraits from your event.
What are your setup and teardown times?
We’re most comfortable with 1 hour to set up the studio and have it prepared and ready. We typically need about 30 minutes to take down all equipment and leave the premises.
What is the payment structure?
We require a non-refundable 50% deposit to secure your date, with the balance due 30 days before the event.
